Yesterday, I was feeling stuck. So I went to the Runes as I sometimes do when I feel like that, lacking inspiration,in "the slough of despond* as another pilgrim* has said .
I opened myself to receive an answer ,to feel a bit better, see a way forward.
It felt like a message which needs to be shared .
The first Rune was Eihwaz . The rune which says , do not be in a hurry to move forward. The wood of the yew becomes the bow of the spiritual warrior .
The second rune was the blank rune, Odin's rune; the realm of infinite possibilities.
The third rune: Dagaz. Breakthrough, transformation.
They need little interpretation but expanded slightly on reflection.
I am not stuck. I am growing slowly. Slow growth brings strength. To become the way of the spiritual warrior.
In this place of growth, there are endless possibilities. Choices. Awareness and discernment are required. This will bring transformation. Don't be discouraged. Be patient.
After this , a thought came to me : Shamanic Dreaming Collective.
We can dream a world in to being. We can use our collective consciousness to create new ways of seeing and new ways of being. We are not lost . We are not stuck. We are a Shamanic Dreaming Collective and what we put our minds to, can make a difference.
A long time ago when I first began social work I had a period of feeling helpless and hopeless and came across a quote :
" sometimes you don't get to see the miracle happen " .
It helped me get over it at the time and I think it rings true now. We might not know the outcome of our dreaming or our prayers and the growth may be slow; but remember the yew.
*The pilgrim is John Bunyan who wrote Pilgrim's Progress. He was imprisoned for his faith but didn't give up.
